The Eighth Day: Chris in Hull, Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Friday, February 14:
Today, we'll talk about Chris's trip to Hull, and show you some amazing sunrises, 'kay?

Chris says his trip went really well, and the city was really lovely, despite what he might have heard. Haha. His demo was awesome, as I knew it would be, even though he was really nervous about it.

NOW CHECK OUT THESE PHOTOS HE TOOK!

This is the view of the sunrise from his hotel window. Lovely.
I love the churches here. They're all beautiful.
This photo included so you'd know what the next photo is.
This bridge is only two years younger than the Declaration of Independence. 1778. Everything here is so old.

Hull is the only city in the UK with white telephone boxes.
You'll also notice that they're missing the Queen's Crown, too!
A lovely little street.
Please just read this. I'll transcribe here for you. "One of the oddest street names in the country, LAND OF GREEN GINGER, was the title of a Winnifred Holtby novel. The name's origin remains a mystery."  It's the weirdest name and NO ONE KNOWS WHY!! I love it.
Humber Bridge. This was once the longest suspension bridge in the world. But now it's like the 7th longest.

And now...  I present Valentine's Day!

This was waiting for Chris when he came home.
Valentine's dinner for 2 for £20, from Marks and Spencer. We had an appetizer: Gastropub Camembert with Chutney,  a side: Broccoli, Carrots, Courgettes & Fine Beans, a main course: Sirloin Steaks, a non-alcoholic substitute for wine: Elderflower Presse....

And Raspberry Panacotta for dessert! Yum!
Our cards and presents! Licorice, hot chocolate mix, chocolates, flowers, and a "Why you're so awesome" book.
A good day indeed. I'll leave you with some of my favourite Valentine's Day Memes from the internet:

I'll have you know this is Chris's favourite. I find it terrible.

Cheers!
Kami & Chris, the Pseudo-Londoners!
