The Fifty-Ninth Day: Blue Plaques. The Sixtieth Day: Henley, Grand Budapest. The Sixty-First Day: Bicycle at Hyde Park. The Sixy-Second Day: Camera Lessons

In the interest of catching up, I'm speed-posting the next 4 days. Hold on tight, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Monday, April 7:

Ventured out in search of more Blue Plaques today! But first, my two favourite churches I walk by every day:

Okay, Blue Plaque #15: Alexander Herzen

The Father of Russian Socialism. "Life has taught me to think, but thinking has not taught me to live."
 Blue Plaque #16: Guglielmo Marconi:

Inventor of Radio. "Every day sees humanity more victorious in the struggle with space and time."
Blue Plaque #17: Washington Irving

Author of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle.
"Great minds have purposes. Others have wishes."
(Not)Blue Plaque #18: Benjamin Franklin

I'm counting it because it was on the Blue Plaque App. He probably doesn't get a blue plaque because he was a traitor to the crown.

"Being ignorant is not so much a shame as being unwilling to learn."
(Not) Blue Plaque #19: Heinrich Heine
Also on the App.

"People in those old times had convictions; we moderns only have opinions.
And it needs more than a mere opinion to erect a Gothic cathedral."
 Blue Plaque #20: Herman Melville

“I know not all that may be coming, but be it what it will, I'll go to it laughing.”
Blue Plaque #21: Rudyard Kipling

“Of all the liars in the world, sometimes the worst are our own fears.”
Blue Plaque #22: Joseph Aloysius Hansom

Architect, founder-editor of The Builder, and inventor of the Hansom Cab.
Google him, guys. Some of the most beautiful churches and cathedrals are his designs.
Tuesday, April 8:

Chris had a meeting in Henley today. Look how green and lovely it is.

That night, when Chris got back, we went to the cinema with The Baxters and saw The Grand Budapest Hotel, which is the newest Wes Anderson film. He's a superb director, and we loved it.  I recently saw this YouTube video about his films. Check it out.

Wednesday, April 9:

We went on a bike ride through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park! It's been years since either of us has ridden a bike, so it was fun!

London in the Spring is overwhelmingly beautiful.

Thursday, April 10:

And on this day, I didn't take any photos with my camera. But I did go to Hyde Park to meet up with a friend, Shara, to teach her how to use her camera! It was fun. She has an adorable little guy who is 10 months old. He makes me miss photographing babies in the studio.

Cheers!
