The Fifty-Fifth Day: The Barbican Centre

Thursday, April 3

We explored the Barbican Centre today! It's a big performing arts venue, cinema, and conference center, but I think there's housing, too? An interesting place, that's for sure.

Check out this awesome below-water-level seating! I wanted to sit in them, but the area was restricted, for residents only.

We went to the Barbican to check out a piece called Momentum, an interesting installation featuring 12 lights on synced pendulums, fog machines, and sounds -- all combined into a cool, immersive experience. (And an awesome photo-op. Wish I had a good tripod, but some of the slow shutter speed photos are kinda cool still.)

Cheers!
